Boots has become a shelter favorite, and we aren't sure why he's still with us! He was surrendered to us after meeting the wrong end of a porcupine. His owner at the time did not want to pay his bill, so we gladly took him in and got him the medical attention that he needed. In the time he has been at the shelter, Boots has turned many corners. When he came to us, he was very nervous and didn't want much to do with us. Over the next week, he slowly came out of his shell - not only with us, but with some of the other shelter dogs as well! He was a phenomenal student in his basic training class. He loves to go on walks and does the Boots dance when he sees a leash. Boots has found what was missing in his life so far - but we aren't done yet. Boots needs his forever! He is great with men, women and children. A meet and greet with other dogs will be needed to ensure that everyone is comfortable. Boots is not a fan of cats, but we don't hold that against him! Boots is waiting for someone to show him that he's worth it. We know he is!
